  3. During the Contest Period, eligible entrants may enter by completing an entry form during an official tour of one of the DEKALB Market Development Cooperator or Technology Development sites. Entry forms can be obtained from a DEKALB representative at each tour site on the tour date. Limit one (1) entry per person. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the status of any entry. Entries that do not comply with the terms of the Contest will result in disqualification. Incomplete or illegible entries will not be considered. Entries void if electronically or mechanically reproduced, forged, defective, altered or obtained through unauthorized channels or if they contain production, typographical, electronic, mechanical or other errors.
  4. On October 16, 2017 at approximately 10:00 am CDT the Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on number of entries received.
  5. The draw will be for 8-day/7-night trip for 2 Maui, Hawaii. Trip for winner and 1 guest includes (i) round-trip coach class air transportation for 2 people from a major airport in Canada nearest the winner’s home to Kahului Airport – the winner and guest must travel from one departure location and must travel on the same itinerary; (ii) standard hotel accommodations, double occupancy, at the Aston Mahana at Kaanapali Hotel in Maui for 7 nights; and 1 $500 Visa gift card. Travel prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of travel service providers. The ARV of the Prize is subject to fluctuations in airfare and the value may vary depending on the location of the departure city. Any difference in the stated ARV and the actual value of the Prize will not be awarded. All expenses not specified herein, including transportation to and from the airport, flight insurance, travel insurance, meals and personal expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prize is not transferable. The Prize cannot be substituted for cash. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of equivalent or greater value.
  6. The potential winner will be contacted by phone on October 16, 2017 by the Sponsor. If the potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within 7 days of the first notification attempt, is found to be ineligible, does not comply with these Official Rules or declines to accept the Prize, such potential winner may be disqualified in Sponsor’s sole discretion, and in such case Sponsor will select an alternate winner in a random drawing from remaining eligible entries.
  7. To be an actual winner, that person must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question that will be administered at the time of winning notification and be in compliance with these Official Rules. The potential winner will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release within 14 days of its having been sent. Failure to do so will result in the potential winner automatically forfeiting their prize and nothing will be offered in its place. The winner also grants Sponsor the right to use winner’s name, city of business operation, and winner’s image or likeness for advertising, publicity and promotion purposes, including print, broadcast, online and social media announcements, without notice or further compensation other than the Prize and at no expense to the winner.
  8. By entering the Contest, the entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Entrant further agrees that Sponsor, including its agents, representatives and those associated with them may communicate with entrant regarding his or her participation in the Contest via electronic message or otherwise. These Official Rules are subject to change without notification at Sponsor’s sole discretion. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned by reason of, and not limited to, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other cause that Sponsor or its agents deem could corrupt or affect the administration, fairness or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, modify, suspend or terminate the Contest and select the winners from among the eligible entries received prior to the action, or as otherwise deemed fair and equitable by Sponsor. The Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations.
  9. Sponsor, including its agents, representatives and those associated with them, are not responsible for any entry, Prize winning notification or the claim for Prize, which is lost, misdirected or which arrives late, as the case may be, whether or not due to the fault of Sponsor or of any other or thing.
  10. By entering, each entrant agrees to hold harmless Sponsor, participating sponsors, and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies from any liability whatsoever, and waive and release such parties from any and all causes of action, for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional) arising out of or in connection with the event or acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of any prize, participation in any promotion-related activity, or participation in the promotion, whether under a theory of contract, torts (including, without limitation, negligence), warranty, or any other theory or cause of action.
